Idaho Primary Care Association Launches New Advocacy Tool
Advocate for Idaho Health Centers - SIGN UP HERE !
Idaho Primary Care Association is launching Idaho Health Center Advocates to amplify the voices of health center supporters across the state and to make it easy for health centers and patients to make their voices heard with elected officials at the Idaho Legislature and in Congress.
Elected officials will make decisions in 2017 that dramatically impact Idaho health centers:
- State legislators will discuss if steps should be taken to help 78,000 Idahoans in the healthcare coverage gap.
- Members of Congress will decide whether to continue so-called mandatory funding for health centers, and if so, at what level.
- Steps will be taken by Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and a replacement plan may not be in place.
- Congress may take steps to change the Medicaid program in ways that may cause financial instability for health centers.
Join the Idaho Healthcare Advocates today! Your voice is needed now more than ever.
To be successful, Idaho Primary Care Association needs active support not just from people already connected to health centers - staff, boards, and patients, but from everyone who believes that every person who needs a healthcare home should be able to find one at a health center.
Please sign up and encourage colleagues at your health center to join you.
Thank you for your participation, together we will build a strong community of health center advocates across Idaho!
