Breast Cancer Specialty License Plate

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women, the second leading cause of cancer death, after lung cancer. Residents of Idaho have a chance to help low-income, uninsured women get critical breast cancer screenings by purchasing the Idaho Breast Cancer Specialty License plate. Proceeds from the sale of the Breast Cancer Specialty plate will assist Idaho's Community Health Centers with screenings for their patients who otherwise are not able to afford the services.

WHERE CAN BREAST CANCER SPECIALTY PLATES BE PURCHASED?
The Breast Cancer Specialty plate is available at Department of Motor Vehicle offices throughout Idaho, or can also be purchased on-line at the Idaho Transportation Department web site.

In addition to regular vehicular registration fees, the Breast Cancer License plate costs $60.00. Of this fee, $25.00 goes to the Idaho Primary Care Association, the membership association for Community Health Centers, for distribution to the CHCs for breast cancer screenings for low-income, uninsured patients. Annual renewals of the Breast Cancer License plate are $40.00; $15.00 goes to the IPCA for distribution to Community Health Centers.

By purchasing a breast cancer license plate, you make it possible for more women to get screened for breast cancer, and the pink ribbon will remind women to get their yearly mammograms and screenings.
