David Garrett joins IPCA and CHCNI as the new Chief Executive Officer
As the former senior executive of BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City, David brings extensive corporate and non-profit healthcare experience to Idaho's community health centers.
BOISE, ID - The Board of Directors of Idaho Primary Care Association (IPCA) and Community Health Center Network of Idaho (CHCNI) welcomes David Garrett as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Garrett brings more than 25 years of corporate executive and nonprofit healthcare experience to IPCA/CHCNI.
“The leadership, expertise and discipline David has demonstrated throughout his impressive career will help advance the mission of IPCA and CHCNI - to promote and support vibrant, effective community health centers in providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare to all Idahoans,” said Dr. Ted Epperly, Board Chair.
Mr. Garrett comes from Kansas City, MO where he most recently served as Interim CEO of KC CARE Health Center and previously as a Vice President with BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City.
"I am excited to begin my role leading the Idaho Primary Care Association! I see community health centers as an indispensable part of our nation’s healthcare system. The organization’s efforts on enhancing the network of centers throughout Idaho for the benefit of the communities they serve is an incredible mission. I look forward to relocating and getting involved with local healthcare and nonprofit organizations in Boise and exploring all the beautiful aspects of Idaho and the Pacific Northwest." said Mr. Garrett.
As an active contributor to his community, Mr. Garrett has served on the boards of Ronald McDonald Charities of Greater Kansas, Jewish Family Services and Kansas City Health Commission. A graduate of Ohio University, Garrett holds a Master’s in Health Administration.
