IPCA provides opportunities throughout the year for board members and CHC staff to participate in training relevant to their job responsibilities. These training and networking opportunities include face-to-face and webinar activities.

Health Center Governing Board Basics - Roles & Responsibilities
A workshop for new board members (and a refresher for experienced board members) that gives a broad, basic overview of the roles and responsibilities of a health center board member, member vs. board, and board/CEO relationship.
Cultural Competency
A series of two one-hour workshops that can be taken together or at separate times.
Module 1: provides an overview of the National Standards on Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) and ways to incorporate these standards into the health center's organizational and clinical practice culture.
Module 2: focuses on identifying the underlying causes of patient-provider conflict, and highlights different strategies to deal with conflict.

Improving Your Practice
A three-hour workshop in which participants will learn about the Patient-Centered Medical Home model of care and how this model can improve clinic quality; the Chronic Care Model and how to apply it to clinic quality improvement efforts; and understand the Model for Improvement and be able to apply the PDSA cycle in clinics.
